About The Author

Erin Daly

A Lifelong Animal Lover and Advocate

Erin Daly has always been a passionate advocate for animal welfare. While her path didn’t lead her to become a veterinarian, her love for animals shone brightly.

In 2008, Erin adopted her first puppy, Clover, who became more than just a pet. Clover was a constant companion, best friend, and soul mate who joined Erin on many adventures.

Sadly, Erin experienced the deep grief of losing Clover, followed by the loss of her second dog, Sage, within a relatively short span of fifteen months. These experiences highlighted for Erin how often society downplayed or ignored pet loss.

Determined to make a difference, Erin channeled her grief into something positive. Erin penned a book named “Journey Through Grief: Honoring Beloved Pets and Beyond” to share her personal experience and offer assistance to those grappling with the agony of pet loss.

Erin’s exploration of grief extends beyond the loss of animals. Her 25 years in human resources have given her a unique perspective on the many forms grief can take. She aspires to create a safe space for open conversations about vulnerability, compassion, and accepting all forms of grief, both personal and that of others.

As a writer and healer, Erin believes in the power of storytelling and reading to provide comfort and understanding. By sharing her own experiences of pain, sorrow, and healing, she hopes to let others know they are not alone in their grief journey.
